Collier met 3 amuletten uit Ethiopië

This necklace consists of hand-formed Ethiopian silver beads

with 2 small and 1 larger amulet. These amulets

are forged around herbs that should bring about happiness and health.

 This necklace is old and  worn, but made more wearable for us. Originally

on a (dirty) rope and strung with plastic beads and with a knot  worn around the neck. Traditionally, such a necklace is almost never taken off in Ethiopia.
We strung it on nylon thread, replaced the plastic beads with moss agate beads, and fitted it with a clasp. This makes this unique necklace very wearable and a perfect match for contemporary clothing.

The necklace is worn short around the neck and is 45 cm long.
