About Us:

 We are Mieke and Ahmed Abdulkadir / Broekman. We have been importing goods from various African and Asian countries since the 1970s. 

At the time, we sold wholesale to retailers in the Netherlands. We had a permanent stand at the Jaarbeurs trade fair in Utrecht and regularly participated in trade fairs in other European countries. At the time, we sold hand-woven and hand-knotted carpets from countries such as Ethiopia, Egypt,  Morocco and India This was driven by the desire to help people in what were then developing countries to find work and a  market. on a commercial basis.  This proved successful for many years.

During our many travels to various countries, we' have also  acquired many items that we personally loved and that appealed to us. This has become a truly diverse and unique collection, with many authentic items that we especially enjoyed ourselves. 

We are now getting older and are looking for people interested in our collection, such as other collectors and possibly museums.

That's why we have started this webshop, where we offer a significant number of items along with the necessary photos and information. If you are seriously interested, we are happy to provide further information by phone or email and discuss potential shipping costs. The descrption of the goods is in Dutch, but easily translated by google . Perhaps we will translate the information ourselves in the future, but for the time being we are still

busy to fill the various catogories with photo's and relevant information.

The prices and shipping costs listed are for delivery within the Netherlands. Shipping to other countries is easily possible via DHL, UPS, DPD, etc. The costs for this will be calculated separately for each shipment and will be charged to the buyer on the invoice. This invoice can be paid to us by bank transfer, after which  we will ship the goods immediately upon receipt.
